While searching for 'somewhere' to post 'stuff' on the web, I vaguely recalled having this LJ. Let's post and see what happens. If anything I will use this for what I originally planned to do all those years ago. Oh, the mystery of it all...

all around, this was just not a good day.
July 3rd, 200411:08 am: July 4th eve
Hmm, I wonder if I will miss doing the tips at work. The orgy of numbers that flows through my veins seem to love crunching all the numbers into one unit that can then be multiplied by hour many fractions of an hour one works to equal money to spend on gas, video games, and food. But the other side of me is tired of coming in on my day off for three hours plus counting pennies. Well, it is all over in a day or two anyway. I was hoping to get it all done on sunday, but that is the 4th (plus it is hard to calculate hours when people are still working them). Today is Free Comic Book day. Did anyone go out and get some? My last day at Starbucks 6744. It was a good 4 months. I actually did not date girls from this store, so my friends can silently applaud... but the reason I did not was probably because my ex was talking to me, so now my friends silently weep... hehe. But I think I would have stayed with last year's resolution of 'stay away from the starbucks girls (and this counts customers, too)' in any case. I learned my lesson. We all learn our lessons, though, but how often do we go back and review the notes? I am buying a new car soon. This one is actually for me. Lets see how it all works out. Other than that, nothing really exciting going on. Just a bunch of Tactics playing. Current Music: In extremo
June 26th, 200412:34 am: Cleopatrick!
I think everyone should go see Sound and Fury at least once. They appear at both north and south Faire's in Cali, as well as Texas and New York this year. A group of us just saw Cleopatrick in Hollywood. There is still a weekend left... you should all go! Current Music: humming of the air conditioner
June 22nd, 200404:31 pm: Double Shot
I went and saw dodgeball today. Not bad. If anything, the trailers before the movie made me want to go see The Anchorman. There is a cameo by some of the old school crew. Even if it is only 5 minutes it will be to hilarious to miss. I stopped by work and found out that the Bean Plant had sent out two of everything we had ordered. I felt obligated to do my part by purchasing a whole case of canned double shots. MMMMM. And no, I was not brave enough to do anything today. Maybe bravery had nothing to do with it... just plain laziness really. Current Mood: blah Current Music: something random on knac.com
June 21st, 200405:35 pm: ...and the fear and the guilt...
I don't like the way you said that... Anyway, I was browsing Obazziz and realized that it has been up for almost a year now, this second incarnation of it anyway. I looked back through most of the entries (luckily there are not too many, heeh) and memories came floating back. A little exploration of my nueromap. Anyone ever browse there own journals? Maybe some of you are thinking: duh, that is why I write in it; others of you (like me): no, i just need to write to get it off my chest. I am sure I have some interesting tidbits and hints to further tidbits buried deep in the part of my brain I store information meant to be forgotten hidden about this journal. Well, I have some time off this week, and for the next several weeks. A kind of summer vacation. I could enjoy it, or I could go build up my bravery enough to talk to a few of the faces I have had my eye on. Tomorrow I have the day off, lets see if my courage lasts. Finally got the El Monte pay check as well. Damn, retirement fund. I would like that money now, plz... thx. Well, Final Fantasy tactics and quakes game planning calls. June 16th, 200409:53 pm: the one
we all have that one person. not the one we hope for, the whole princess bride true love deal. but rather one person who knows how we work and uses it to manipulate us and betray our trust at every corner. Current Music: jack barking at something
June 15th, 200409:07 pm: Graduation
Well today was the actual graduation ceremony for El Monte-Rosemead Adult School. I, being the low man on the totem pole, did not think I was going to be able to go, but since I have a whole class graduating the big bosses gave me the go ahead. The graduation started at 730, so I still had to go work my first hour at school. My first hour is LAB. Basically, I sit at a table for an hour and wait for students to come in with questions. Usually, and especially today, it is a solid hour of good read time. So after reading for an hour, I headed down to Rosemead High to attend the ceremony only to find out that it was full and they had locked the doors. There were some pissed off people outside. I was not one of them. Instead, I turned right around and came home to enjoy some paid time off. I did feel bad that I would not get to see my students walk and even worse for the parents of those students locked outside, but then again shaving a few hours off my normal 12 hour day is OK with me. Look, I even got a short post out of it. Current Mood: energetic Current Music: Fan
June 14th, 200404:12 pm: Third time's a charm
You know that your dog is your best friend when he comes into your room while you are on the computer, wipes his ass with the carpet, and strolls out. Man's best friend, I tell you. I am off to teach now. Not much teaching going on today. 1 hour of lab and two hours of testing.
12:02 pm: Sugar
Visiting Tim's site and consuming much sugar has inspired me to post again. Nothing in particular. Just want to put stuff up but not really any codey stuff. I also put up some quakes pics at my buzznet site. Well, time to finish up the last week of lesson planning and grading. Current Mood: bouncy Current Music: Layne - Staind
09:00 am: Security
I got 5 hours of sleep for a 4 hour shift, but still could not roll out of bed. I have yet to be late for my openning shift (always a fear since I have the key), but I came close today. As I was stumbling through the house at 4:10am I tripped over a plant. The resulting crash raised no alarm from our dog. Good ole Jack, he either new it was me and decided not to wake anyone else up or (most likely) was just to lazy to get up and do anything. Jack thinks everyone was put on earth to play with him. If someone did try to sneak into the house, our dog would probably just follow him around, tail-a-wagging. In other news, the school district just called and said that the reason I have not been paid yet is because they are missing a piece of paperwork I never turned in. A piece of paperwork they never gave me, it turns out. Poo on them. I am going to take a shower and go wrap up this bull.
June 13th, 200410:03 pm: he-
I was rereading some of my entries and then noticed the big February to May gap. How funny how that happen to be the time my ex was trying to re-establish contact. She was nice for a while but then went to being the 'other' person very soon after. But anyway, I guess I am trying to say that this is not really a journal but rather a place for this hopeless romantic to bitch and whine about things in life so he will not focus on the fact that he has no one to be hopelessly romantic with. And you reader, if there are any of you, will hopefully find this entertaining in some fashion. To read I go and a good 5 hours of sleep before I begin my last week of double duty. Hopefully posts will appear up here more frequently, I can summon back some previous readers and maybe lure in some new ones. Oh, and hopefully the school district decides to pay me soon! May 24th, 200404:17 pm: 14 days of actual teaching to go
Wait, didn't he do this last year... count down the days left of teaching. Sure I did. But last year I was teaching for free (well, for credits). This year I am teaching for money and enjoying the students a heck of a lot more. Well, I am doing it for the promise of money, because I have yet to get paid (having started the day after the cut off monthly cut off). So on June 9th, I should get a rather nice check. I would not mind just teaching, but I still work at the bucks in the morning. This whole getting 3 hours of sleep between jobs is getting old - so that is why I count down the days. I am counting down how many sleepless nights I have remaining. I will actually miss the school and teaching. Yesterday I went to an Eagle Court for my neighbor. Cold. It was nice, but cold, but then again it was nice that it was cold. As I type this the sun is coming out and it ends. Welcome back Spring. Current Mood: awake Current Music: Line Up - Elastica
May 22nd, 200409:59 pm: more to my style
I post on this thing now and then (when this thing will let me) and stopped my blog altogether when my pics all disappeared. But now I think I will move to this site for a while. That way I can play with my pics more.
May 18th, 200410:21 pm: Factoring Quadratic Trinomials in x^2 + bx + c form
He... I can't even write the freaking thing correctly... Well, teaching was alright tonight. I am definitely suffering from lack of sleep and that in turn causes my students to suffer. One student actualy told me that he felt he knew more BEFORE the lesson than AFTER. Yeah, I could feel it, too. Tomorrow, I am going to play hookie ( we are just having a meeting ) and work on my lessons and tests. Lets see how the daddyo takes it, heeh, since it is his meeting....:P Until then.
May 16th, 200412:34 pm: lets see...
ok, test, test. The last few times I have tried to update, LJ has been a ween. At this very moment I have a few moments to kill while waiting for various security patches and updates to download... Plus I have Connection by Elastica blazing over the media player (thanks to Bryce for playing repeatedly for 2 hours straight last night). Don't want to write much, because I still think LJ will deny me!
February 6th, 200410:54 am: cookies
I like to bake. Blame it on 4 years at Cinnabon or blame it on a childhood obsession with licking cookie dough off of eat beaters. For the last couple of years my cookies have come out kind of bleh. I realize that cooks are not often happy with their creations and people led me to believe that said batches were quite excellent, but I disagreed. Today, I rolled out of bed after reading a few chapters of Fire Ice and whipped up a batch to my liking. Go me. Today will be a good day.

It looks like I won't be sending flowers out after all. yeah you will. just send them to the boyfriend instead. when she sees that he is getting flowers she will dump him and come running to you.huh... January 31st, 200401:16 am: Holy Kingdom full of holes
This book reminded me so much of this book that I had to put it down. If you liked either of them, then more power to you. I had problems with Behold that I will not repeat here (I think I blogged it centuries ago) but at least I did not return Holy Kingdom. There was some good stuff in there, esp. in the first chapter where the author discusses the near elimination of the Welsh language the academic boycott of its sources. But later on the author stops notating his sources and starts quoting sources that only he has access to or even his own book. Behold did that too much. "Look at me, I changed the font size of this paragraph and that makes it vital supportive evidence." I don't know. Books like this just make me mad that they get published. I have to do better writing on a 10 page paper for a one hundred level class, but this guy can write revisionist history on King Arthur and actually get Bantam to publish it. "Better writing" not meaning verbage but proper support, notation, and a bibliography with sources that can be referred to. But, again, I did hang onto it. Some day I will browse through the other half I did not read... ... until then. This trilogy will occupy my time. Finally some books that are coming out to support a d20 system with modules (both of which further the story lines). Current Music: Cacophony - Valley of Eternity
